Warwick Mills continues advanced fabric development for Schwalbe high-performance bike tires. Warwick developed the densely woven material that is used in the High Density Guard puncture strip integrated into the construction of the Schwalbe Ultremo (road), Marathon Supreme (touring), Marathon XR (expedition), and Double Defense Racing Ralph and Nobby Nic (mountain bike) bicycle tires, providing unparalleled puncture protection. The lightweight, flexible fibers are more tear-resistant than titanium and more cut-resistant than aramid.
The 2007 release of Schwalbe's High Density Guard bike tires have set new standards in cycling circles: lighter weight, better overall riding performance, and superior puncture resistance—three essential characteristics often compromised when combined into one tire design.
