Technical Sales Chemist
Join Warwick Mills, a global leader in engineered, high-performance textiles. We are seeking a Technical Sales Chemist to manage and inquire about our broad roll goods product line. In this role you will act as a critical bridge between our clients and our engineering team, translating complex material science into business solutions.
Our portfolio of products includes innovative solutions for NASA, aerospace industry, and Tour de France bike racers with products that deliver protection from punctures, cuts, flame retardancy, chemical resistance, and many other technical applications.
This is a customer-facing role where your technical background will be utilized to help clients to define their product specifications. You will learn how to help specify the physical properties of the roll goods for strength, durability, and chemical compatibility, paired with good communication skills to help customers reach their goals. Knowledge of polymer chemistry, adhesion, and material substrates is welcome.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Sales: Qualify, assess, and prioritize incoming engineering inquiries and RFPs from potential clients.
Customer Development: Identify, target, and open new accounts by presenting Warwick’s custom coating, lamination, and textile engineering capabilities.
Lab and Sample Prep: Using our large library of roll goods, coating and lamination capabilities prepare samples in the lab for customers.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or technical discipline or a technical background in polymer chemistry, adhesion science, coatings, or industrial textiles.
Communication: Comfortable making technical presentations to address customer questions; highly organized, with timely follow up in phone and email both with customers and internally.
Organization: Comfortable managing a pipeline of complex engineering inquiries and managing multiple projects at once.
